Today it was chucking it down with rain when I woke up. I decided to be productive and clean up my office. When the rain stopped I figured it was time to go out and take some photos. I put my wellies on and went to the fields near my house. On my way there there is a wooded area, and I know there had been some mushrooms there from a walk I went on over Christmas. Whilst on the lookout for the mushrooms I had seen previously, I realised that the entire floor was covered in one section with mushrooms.
I’ve decided to use my lens converter to use some of the lenses I had for my old system (Pentax) on my Fuji XT3. Todays image was shot with the 30mm f1.4. When I found the mushrooms I initially struggled to shoot them; cursing myself for leaving my macro and zoom lenses at home; as either of these would have been much better. But we can only work with what we have!

It doesn’t hurt to talk today, and I seem to be coughing more. Although one would assume coughing more is bad, it normally means I’m getting better. I’m a bit achy, a bit stuffy in the head, but mainly it’s been a really really bad sore throat. It’s meant that I’ve not been able to visit my grandad and I’ve mainly felt sorry for myself all weekend.
Re purpled my hair as it had faded to blue. It’s annoying how quickly the red fades out of it, but at least it fades to blue; much better than when it was red (or pink) and it faded to manky orange!

This is nowhere even close to what I had in mind for today, but it rained most of the day; and when it wasn’t raining it was brilliant sunshine making the shot I originally planned couldn’t be done!

Damp. It rained a lot of the day but then the sun came out (although it spent a lot of time playing behind clouds). It’s not often that I use the sun in a shot with me in it (mainly due to compositional problems and what not, hard to be behind the camera and in front of the camera at the same time 😉 ) but I decided to go for it this time as the tree was a massive help.
I couldn’t jump/pull myself up but I had managed to talk kB into coming out for the walk, so he hoisted me up and passed me cups and saucers 🙂

I just cannot get enough of this autumny goodness.
As much as today was … I guess fair is a word I could use to describe it; today the weather was nice and sunny. Clear blue skies, warm! Lovely!
I set off out just before lunch to go to my favourite woods, but there was no where to park so I turned back with the intention of going back just before tea. I did think to myself as I was driving out the first time that the light was a bit, well, bright. So it worked out for the best as when I got there a bit later on I managed to snap these : )

I had loads of fun shooting this today.
I went down to the woods for an hour on my own, I got the shot within the first 5 or so but was having so much fun I just carried on!
It has been over cast all day, and the woods was much darker than I anticipated when I was actually underneath the trees, but at least the lighting was consistent.

We decided to go out for a walk and strayed from the beaten track only to find *loads* of bluebells ^_^

Had a busy day today. Went to Woolley Woods in the morning to photograph the bluebells and then off to the practice rooms to photograph Rob. Took an obscene amount of shots however Lightroom makes sorting through them relativity easy.
However, bluebell woods is another thing crossed off my list of things to photograph ^_^
Got hopelessly lost on the way there as my sat nav kept loosing signal. Turns out that I’d parked at the “far end” and if I’d known where I was going the “near end” was more or less next to Meadowhall *urgh*. Double *urgh* as the practice room is also near Meadowhall! Oh well!

Today it snowed. There wasn’t a snow day however 😦 but still, I always enjoy a spot of snow. Sensing that an opportunity would present itself at some point in the day for photography I took my camera to work with me and ended up stopping off at “the usual” on the way back from work, about 20 mins before sunset. This wasn’t the shot I was going for, especially since I have taken a shot like this before (except this one has added snow!) and I only took this one as a (half) joke to myself – grabbing the same shot in the same place at the same time of day but under different weather conditions. As tends to be the case with these of things I ended up liking this shot the best!
