Decided to start crocheting again. I tried a red panda but it didn’t really work out, and I was unsure if it was the pattern, or me, so I’ve crocheted a pattern from a book I’ve used before. I’ll give the red panda another go later.

Woodland Walks – 11 September

This afternoon (late afternoon!) we went for a little walk – just for an hour or so. We went to Eckington Woods and it was lovely and warm, but there was a definite coolness in the air. The light was lovely ^_^ and some leaves have started to turn, but most of them are still green… for now!

Flowers – 9 and 10 September

Catching up with the shots from Friday and Saturday. Both days were pretty busy (If you include the fact I was in bed for 930 and 1030 as part of where the weekend went… ;))

The Start of Autumn
Today is the official start of autumn. So to celebrate my favourite time of year I’ve decided to take a photo each day throughout September and October.
When I went out today I limited myself to one lens. So my kit was:
• Pentax k3
• Tamron 90mm macro lens 2.8
I really liked the way the sun was hitting these leaves as I walked into the woods. I had wondered if the sun would still be too harsh, given that it was August yesterday, but I didn’t need to worry.
Who can resist an acorn!
I thought the tree on the left looked a bit dark and spooky. So naturally I had to take a picture.
I was able to get up close to this little fellow who just sat there minding his own business. There was a really massive bright yellow dragonfly buzzing around, but unfortunately he didn’t stop still so I couldn’t catch him.
Tomorrow I was thinking about getting up and shooting the sunrise. Then I checked the weather and it said it would be misty (This is fine), then I checked the weather again and it says no mist just heavy clouds. I suppose I will have to monitor it!

Someone at work was asking about a technique in Photoshop, and in trying to help him out I decided to make photo of the day from it!
Gross and somwhat massive spider eating his tea
My goodness me do I hate spiders. I saw this bad boy (he’s massive – stuffing a fly into his mouth in this shot) setting up shot at the end of the garden and decided that it wasn’t worth it; he could just have the garden. All of it.
Then I decided to be brave and photograph him. So here we are. A photo that I took, that freaks me out. Good work!

Day 15 / 16 – Photo in a different location every day challenge
Location 14: My garden, UK
Technically not shot in my garden (even though I have shot in my house twice) so I’m going to allow myself this one. Felt ill yesterday, and don’t really feel much better today. Possibly suffering from back to work blues.
