The beast from the East was here the other week, but as I was at work I never managed to get out and photograph anything. The beast returned (or sent his cousin?) and as today is a Sunday, out we went for a little walk
Nothing like going out for a walk in the snow, the coming home to a nice warm cuppa!
Last night it snowed a bit ð
This morning, had we not had to go to the gym I would have gone somewhere and done a proper landscape with the snow. However we had to do to the gym this morning, and by the time we were coming out it was a bit melted.
Despite being really tired from the gym, I went out for a walk around the same woods I took yesterdays shot in, and managed to find this. I do love a good isolated tree; and bare trees are more interesting than fully clothed trees – well to me anyway.

Yet more snow today, which resulted in a snow day.
I can’t remember a day more productive. I got up as usual and set off to work, then whilst I was stuck in traffic at the end of my road I got a message saying that work wouldn’t open until 1030. So I had to sit in traffic for 15 mins to get to a roundabout so I could do a U turn and go back home. As I had unexpectedly gained 2 hours, I decided I would do my exercise and have a shower. I ended up cleaning the kitchen a bit too.
Just as I was getting ready to leave for the second time I got another text from a colleague who had gone into work before the first message was sent out saying that work was shut! Woop!
By 1030 I’d done exercise, had a shower, cleaned the kitchen, done today’s photo, sorted out the washing and was sat watching naff daytime TV whilst drinking a cup of tea! ^_^

A nice bit of casual snow last night/today. It never really got much deeper than this though, despite the fact it snowed for quite a long time.

After tea we are leaving to drive to Manchester becaaauuussee.. tomorrow we fly to Iceland! Weeee!
Apparently the hotel has wifi so I’m going to try and edit photo of the day whilst I’m there if we have a spare hour or so in the hotel, but if not then I’ll see y’all Friday ^_^

Last night here in Sheffield it snowed quite a bit. Naturally I decided that I wanted to go and play in it, so I waited until just after midnight (So I could use the shot for today’s photo of the day!) and went outside to the field next to my house wearing a cloak and carrying a lantern! ð
No idea what the lights on the horizon were, maybe they were the supermarket?

Whenever I change my hair colour I always get the urge to take a normalish picture to document the colour. Probably the remains of selfie time, possibly so I can use it as my profile picture.

I have Christmas decoration envy from my mum. She has this little snowman that you put a candle behind and he glows. In reality it’s a pretty naff looking 80s/90s decoration, but it reminds me of Christmas. As does the naff glass sweet bowl thing she has. You knew it was Christmas Eve when the naff glass thingy came out and sweets were in it! In fact I think I have a picture of it from Christmas day the other year…
Here we go! Presenting horrible glass thing that is basically the spirit of Christmas!
Anyway, the story was that I’ve spent ages looking for a snowman tea light thingy but can’t find one so settled for the house in today’s ‘photo of the day’. It’s not quite the same, but it’ll do ð
