Day 1; Loch Lomond

After a long day of driving, and a couple of diversions, we arrived at Loch Lomond slightly later than expected but more or less just slightly too late for sunset. I managed to catch the tail end of it, but I suspect if we’d been there at the time I’d planned the sky would have been more interesting for longer.

Can’t do anything about that though, so thankful for the bits of pink and orange I managed to get!

Devon Day 4; Blackchurch Rock

Black church Rock

One of the main things I was looking forward to seeing whilst in Devon was Blackchurch Rock. I was looking forward to getting their at sunrise/sunset (depending on where the sun was) and getting some epic shots.

Black church Rock

Unfortunately the tides weren’t really on our side the week we were there, so I did the best I could which was get there a couple of hours before sunset and hope the tide wasn’t too far in.

Bluebells

The walk down was lovely, through a bluebell forest which little fairy bridges crossing over the stream. By this point we had been discussing if we were blubelled out. It turns out I wasn’t.

Mouthmill Beach

Even though the tide was coming it (Sunset was at 830, high tide at 10) I did manage to get some good shots, even if they weren’t the shots I was hoping for.

Devon Day 2; Hartland Quays

Somewhat out of order in terms of blog posting! But! Better late than never…? On day 2 in Devon we went to Hartland Quays, and then to Speke’s Mill Waterfall.

Hartland Quay

Very nice it was there too. The walk from the Quays was pleasant, and then the beach was cool as well, some caves and the bottom of the waterfall and some interesting rock formations.

Croatia

I’m really behind on posting it would seem!

I stopped in Croatia for more than one day. Croatia was really hot for the entire week we were there. On the second day I got up at sunrise and went for an explore down by the beach. It turned out that the best photos of the landscape were near the nudist beach….

Croatian Sunrise

Because our hotel was in front of a large mountain, the sunrise wasn’t quite as epic as it could have been, but the early morning hazy colours were still beautiful.

Northern Ireland – Carrick-a-Rede

Carriak-a-RedeKinbane Coast line

We went to Ireland for a few days. We arrived in the afternoon, and after checking into the B&B we went off to explore a little bit.

The rope bridge had no tickets left so we just walked up and down the coast a bit.

Outlook

Even though it looked sunny, it was really windy and the wind was quite bitter. we shall have to try to go over the rope bridge another day!
