Tropical Butterfly House, Sheffield

As the weather is pants I’ve been looking for things to do inside. Today I decided to visit the Tropical Butterfly House which is only about 15 mins away from where I live. I’m actually quite scared of butterflies, birds… well animals in general really so it was quite a big deal going by myself.

The idea was that I could have a go at doing some macro photography with things which move, in preparation for spring and summer 🙂

Gone Fishing

Today has been one of those days. It started off well (nice, crisp, bright winters morning where you could almost smell the arrival of spring). Went to get my hair cut.

kB decided we should go into town for an early lunch and things started to go downhill from here. In reality I wasn’t really in the mood for going out exploring on my own, but as the weather forecast for the week gets worse I knew I’d be mad at myself if I didn’t go. So we went into town, had a bad lunch then I drove myself to Ladybower only to get there and realise I’d not brought the “quick release” thing which connects the camera to the tripod. Ladybower is a reservoir. I had plans for 10 stop justice and misty looking water. Not to be 😦
