Last weeks project 52 photo below. There seem to be a lot of flowers these last few weeks; maybe because it’s spriiiiiing ^-^
The general rule is (or so I’ve heard) that you are better off going to shoot the deer first thing in the morning. This is because they are less cautious then. As the day progresses people walk over the land where they live, and bring dogs with them.
This morning however I wanted a lie in, so I decided to go and look for the deer at 12ish. They weren’t that cautious! 🙂//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
This was a ‘back up’ shot for today, but as soon as I saw it on the PC I knew I’d end up using it. I went with a photo friend back out to Surprise View this morning (We didn’t go for sunrise as it was cloudy so there wasn’t too much point). Surprise View is pretty much the same place that I took the heather shot last week, and it was my intention to take a partner shot to go with it.
My pose let the shot down; I knew I wouldn’t be using it as soon as I started to go through the photos but none the less I had a go at putting it together, but abandoned it after an hour or so. What I do have though is the heather / background for that shot so I will have a go at compositing me onto the background another day and see how that goes!
The weather has been a bit rubbish of late, and we were starting to get cabin fever from being in the house so much. The weather forecast for this morning was good so I set my alarm and planned on heading towards Ladybower.
I took a wrong turn (well actually to be honest I missed the turn) and we ended up heading towards Higger Tor. Decided to stop off here instead of getting more lost trying to find Ladybower – with the plan being I can go to Ladybower at some point next year.
This is Upper Derwent in the Peak District, just outside of Sheffield 🙂
