I feel like there is going to be a lot of house plants this year. I’m not apologising for it. This is a pink arrowhead plant. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that it’s called an arrowhead plant because the leaves look like arrow heads. Not that you can tell on this picture.
However it is the most delightful pink shade. I hope I don’t kill it…
The weather forecast wasn’t great for today as I went to sleep last night. So I set my expectations low. I woke up, and the sun was just about to rise – but there were loads of clouds rolling in. I decided to not bother running out (which was my gut instinct). Instead I made a cup of tea and watched some YouTube videos.
I stood up to make a cup of tea and the sun started to stream through the window. Excellent! So I ran to grab my camera, tripod and a floaty dress (the shot in my PJs might not have been quite the same), and here we are.
I’ve tried to go out and shoot twice today, but each time it started raining. So I’ve taken that as a sign and have stayed with this photo for today!
Withered is how I feel today – first day back after the Christmas break.
Usually the first day back gives me a headache. I’m not too sure why, but it always does; it could be the lighting, the fact I’m having to use my brain, who knows!
Today is no exception. I’m tired, and I have a headache. At least we went back on a Wednesday, and one day down means only two more to go!

As in pretty much a tradition now around this time of year, I bought myself some flowers. They cheer the place up once the Christmas decorations have been taken down, but they also give me something else to shoot!

I love sweetcorn. I love it out of a tin, on the cob just generally in my mouth really. I love to add it to salads, pizzas, stir frys…. nom nom nom
