Happy new year! This year I’m going to focus on; bracketing / bending exposures, focus stacking and the use of flashes.
To get started with this I had a little play with a house plant and my flash guns this afternoon.

Ridgeway & Rex Begonia
Today has been lovely – we went for a walk around the farmers fields near my house, and I spent the morning in the garden.
Yesterday I had an early night, and so it was just a quick shot of one of the leaves on my Rex Begonia.

Syngonium Neon Robusta
I feel like there is going to be a lot of house plants this year. I’m not apologising for it. This is a pink arrowhead plant. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that it’s called an arrowhead plant because the leaves look like arrow heads. Not that you can tell on this picture.
However it is the most delightful pink shade. I hope I don’t kill it…
Philodendron
When I moved house I got enough space to get some house plants. I’ve largely had some success in keeping them alive. For Christmas I decided to spend some of my money on propagated plant leaves as kB had bought me some propagation vases.
This week the packages arrived. So I’ve popped the stalks in some water, and the succulent leaves onto some soil and fingers crossed!
