Out and about in my garden this evening. Then I was updating my SD cards onto my PC and came across the shot below. Looking forward to getting out with my camera next week!

From the flames

Sometimes I randomly come up with an idea and even though I’ve already taken a photo for the day, I just HAVE to go with the other idea.
Today was one of those days. I’d been mildly upset that yesterday’s shot didn’t wind up being all orange like I’d planned (it is orange tones but I’d planned on changing my dress to orange initially but I didn’t like how it looked when I edited it), so I think it had been playing on my subconscious that I needed colour.
I’d tried to do a technical shot with Danbo, but the science was letting me down and the house was starting to smell a bit so I went outside and shot a flower. But for once in my mind I wasn’t that inspired by said flower and then the above idea randomly came into my head and I kept trying to tell myself ‘do that tomorrow’ but noooo said idea was determined it was going to happen tonight.
So I compromised with myself thinking that if the stubborn idea didn’t work out I could learn from it and re-shoot it tomorrow with me having a back up flower shot for today.
All is lost

Legs/hips/knees are still bad. Not as bad as they were though, teamed with the fact I’ve had a headache for most of the day too does not make for an award winning day at all.
The bonus to this is that I don’t have to be in work until 12 tomorrow, which means I get a cheeky mid week lie in ^-^

First time I’ve tried something like this. Normally when I composite things, all of the elements were taken together at the same time and then composited later. This involved a background taken 2 weeks ago, me taken this morning, antlers are stock…
It was a bit of a challenge to say the least, and I’m not amazingly happy with it, but it will do (That and the fact I’m fed up of being on my computer!)
Keeping secrets

This year one of my aims was to experiment more with lighting (which I have been doing!), but another aim was to make images to fit into sets and so here we go.

After being very jealous of various people online and their gas masks I scoured eBay for one and decided on this one. It arrived on my birthday last week.
I think gas masks are terrifying. Genuinely terrifying, and that makes me a bit excited to shoot with it, because it is so darn tooting scary.
