Project 365 – Week 2

This year is the first time that I’ve been going to the gym whilst doing a project 365. Let’s see what happens.

Day 6 – Flowers (06/01/2020)
Luckily this week is a deload week, so that means I can ease myself into the routine of back at work, gym and taking a photo.

Day 8 – Shell
Gave in and swapped to the old Pentax and the macro lens.

Day 9 – Tulip
It’s about this time when you question why you started this project as it’s dark and you are starting to run out of things to photograph…. Which means that I’ll have to start coming up with ideas and planning what days I am going to execute them. This is where this year is going to be trickier than previous years, as I’m going to the gym 3 week nights as well.

Day 10 – Bass
I forgot how rubbish a project 365 is when it’s January and your at work and it’s dark.

Day 11 – Bed Time for Danbo
Another morning of strong(wo)man training and a contact lens check up meant I was tired. Almost as tired a Danbo.

Day 12 – Forgotten
One full week down. Feel like I’m learning a lot about my new camera system (Swopped from Pentax dSLR to Fuji mirrorless). Getting my head around settings and what not!
Alternative title for this shot is “I really need to dye my roots”.

Long time no update!
My last laptop was running slowly, which made editing images a slow, slow process. By the time I’d uploaded them I couldn’t be bothered to post about it.

Anyway, I’ve got a new laptop (mmm speedy) and have started to take some photos again.

Despondent

I’ve been off the boil with my photography of late. As a kind of excuse the weather has been really hot and sunny, meaning that the only ideal times to shoot are sunset and sunrise, and when you work full time there’s not much of me that can be bothered to operate at those times as I’m in bed!

Anywhoo, got out with the camera today. kB’s parents have moved house so the old house is empty.

The Descent

This was the image that I thought wasn’t going to work out. It was rather difficult to know where to stand so that the camera focused on my head. I then had to move to get the motion whilst trying to end up with my head in the same spot so that it remained in focus.

I had two other shots to fall back on if it didn’t work, but then, when I looked at the on the PC and started to edit them I rather liked this one. The shot that I took that I thought would be “the one” was the one I liked the least.

Strange how these things work out!
