On the last day, we chilled.
The sunset was particularly good on this day! Â
After the sun had dipped below the horizon, the sky became really bright again. It was really weird.
After a while it gradually got darker again, but it was almost like the suns set twice.

On the second to last day we spent the evening driving around the mountain roads near our hotel. We got a good view of the sunset from a different vantage point, and saw a ruined house-thingy in a wall.

Here you can see the smoke of the fires from further up in the mountain. It hadn’t rained in Croatia for a long time, so large parts had either been on fire, or were on fire.
I’m currently regretting not posting these as I was there, because I fell like things have been lost in the two months since we came back….

On the fifth day, we got off our lazy bottoms and went somewhere! It was an early start, as Krka was 2 hours away, and for some reason the people we booked the trip with felt it was necessary to stop off at another town for an hour.

Krka wasn’t too busy, but it was pretty dry, and I feel like it didn’t look as epic as it could have.

It was still pretty though, just not quite as good as I was expecting.

Another lazy day on day 4, more swimming in the sea, more cocktails… However I got up for sunrise (again) but this time went into the mountain first, then came back down to the beach.

The third day in Croatia I’m not sure that we did a lot. Drank some cocktails, swan in the sea….
The sunsets were spot on though, fantastic view from the hotel and thus the beach.

I’m really behind on posting it would seem!
I stopped in Croatia for more than one day. Croatia was really hot for the entire week we were there. On the second day I got up at sunrise and went for an explore down by the beach. It turned out that the best photos of the landscape were near the nudist beach….

Because our hotel was in front of a large mountain, the sunrise wasn’t quite as epic as it could have been, but the early morning hazy colours were still beautiful.

At the ripe old age of 31 I have never stopped awake for 24 hours before. I almost made it on the day we went on holiday, but I had squeezed in a 20 minute nap in the evening, so I’m not sure that it counted.

We had a rubbish flight time, which meant we had to be at the airport for 4am. When we got to Croatia, they have a rule that you can’t check in until 3pm. We had packed some swim stuff but we were too tired to do anything really.
Cracking views of the sunset from the balcony though!
