When I woke up this morning it was chucking it down with rain. Then it was really sunny. Then it rained sideways…

I really genuinely do love clouds. Like LOVE THEM. I get excited about good clouds. They just look so nice and fluffy. I think I’d like to be a cloud just sailing along…

Day 7 / 16 – Photo in a different location every day challenge
Location 7: Ridgeway, Sheffield, UK

Today has been a proper little holiday day. I have been to the pub for dinner (this field was next to the pub; two birds with one stone. Win!) then we went out for sushi for tea! Yum! Next we shall eat Easter eggs and drink beer and watch TV 🙂

This picture is of far out of what has become my comfort zone. It is bright and it is a panorama. I’m not even sure if I like it, possibly because it isn’t what I’ve become used to doing. Tomorrow is another day though, albeit it is supposed to be another sunny day…

As the weather forecast looked for the morning I decided to get up early and go for a little walk. This was taken where I normally go to take photos when I can’t be bothered to travel too far but want to be outside, except this time I went a different route and found some nice potential spots for future photos (weather/lighting conditions weren’t right today).

For 2013, my photography resolutions are:

  1. Put more effort into getting shots straight in camera
  2. Clean kit after outdoor use (or if indoor use meant it might get mucky). Every time
  3. If you know the photo wont work, don’t snap it (I’ve gotten better at this but I still take shots that I know wont work “just to see”)

First photo for the new year 🙂
