Man flu 😦
This morning I decided to tag along with my mum and dad and go visit my grandma and grandad. I was secretly hoping that there would be epic robins posing everywhere but I don’t think I saw any wildlife the whole time I was there.
There are a lot of fruit trees in their back garden, and a lot of the fruit had fallen off, but the fruits which had fallen off of the plum tree must have only fallen off recently because they were so vivid!
Sometimes silence says a lot more than words. We spend too much time talking and listening to each other, or music, that sometimes I think we forget to appreciate just how precious silence can be.
If people talk too much it drives me mad. I like my own space, my own company, and my own silence.
Today me and kB have been dating for 8 years 🙂
We went out for sushi again, seeing as the first sushi was bad then I had a chocolate mousse/muffin thing for afters – yummy!
Had a nice productive morning buying some things for my trip to France later in the month, then we went and shot this after sushi.
Turns out that I did break my lens when I dropped my camera so today has also been a tad on the expensive side
Last week I posted around on Facebook asking for time-for-shots (it’s where models give up their time for free in order to receive free shots, but I specified that I wasn’t bothered about people actually being models).
I got a good number of replies and was actually able to choose who I wanted to shoot with ^-^.
Today was the first of these shots, with the lovely Briony. I also had some off camera assistance from her dad, which was fantastic – it is so much easier to shoot a model and have someone else helping rather than doing everything my self!
The shot with the apple is what I set out with in mind, and we managed to get the shot within the first few takes – in fact we only took 24 shots in total anyway! This is another shot that we tried out seeing as we got the original so quickly.
As I’ve never really worked with someone unless I’m friends/related to them this is an exciting challenge for me this week, and I am more than pleased with the results from the first day.
My next collaboration shoot is on Tuesday and I’m hoping the weather stays nice for it as we plan on being outside.
I tried to photography a chrysanthemum today but really didn’t like how it came out. I decided to take my camera and flash guns up to kB’s mum and dads house to see if I could find inspiration there.
Literally the only fruit in the fruit bowl was the apple when we turned up. I stood it on a upside down bowl, and draped the grapes around it (the grapes were bought specially for me and kB and were in the fridge)
