I’m Sami. I’m a 30-something-year-old Sheffield based photographer (That’s Sheffield in England!). My screen name Manadh is pronounced man-ah-dah and it means ‘omen’ or ‘good luck’ in Gaelic.
I bought my first SLR camera on 01/01/2011 and I took a photo every single day until 31/12/2015, making 2015 my fifth and final Project 365 in a row. Even though the project has dipped in places (whole months are questionable in some cases!) I can really see that I have improved, and am still continuing to do so. This is why I love photography so much; there is always something new to master and you never stop learning and improving.
For now I’m just enjoying shooting what I feel like and when I feel like. I’m now two years clear of my Project 365 and I do miss it at times, but I’ve also been able to enjoy doing this other than taking photos!
